This Privacy Policy describes how Telzen ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of our mobile application, Telzen ("App"), and its related services ("Services"). This policy is intended to inform you about our practices and to comply with the Google Play Store's requirements.
By using our App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information to provide and improve our Services.
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you register, we collect personal information such as your email address and/or phone number (for OTP verification). You may also provide a password and other profile details.
- Payment Information: To process payments for packages, we use a third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card details. We may collect billing information, such as your name and billing address, which is passed securely to Stripe.
- Third-Party Login: If you register using Google Login, we receive information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, as permitted by your Google profile settings.
- Gifting Information: If you choose to gift a package, we will collect information about the recipient, such as their Telzen account identifier (e.g., email or phone number), to fulfill the request.
- Profile Data: Information you provide when you update your profile.
- Communications: If you contact us for support, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: We collect information about your interactions with the App, such as the packages you view, your remaining data balance, countries you browse, and features you use.
- Device and eSIM Information: To provide eSIM services, we may need to collect specific information about your device, such as its model, operating system, and potentially device-unique identifiers (e.g., EID) required for eSIM provisioning.
- Location Information: We may infer your general region or country from your IP address to provide relevant content, such as recommended countries and regional package availability.
- Log Data: Our servers may automatically log information, including your IP address, device type, app version, and crash data, for analytical and troubleshooting purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To create your account, authenticate you, provide access to your purchased eSIMs, and display your data usage.
- To Process Transactions: To process payments for packages and apply coupons using our third-party payment processor, Stripe.
- To Personalize Your Experience: To show you recommended countries and relevant packages based on your region or usage.
- To Enable App Features: To allow you to gift packages to other users.
- To Communicate With You: To send you OTPs for verification, transactional emails, service announcements, and respond to support requests.
- To Improve Our App: To analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, and develop new features.
- For Security and Compliance: To prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf. This includes:
- Payment Processing: With Stripe, to process your payments.
- Authentication: With Google (for Google Login) and our OTP provider (to send verification codes).
- eSIM Provisioning: With our telecommunications partners and carriers to activate and manage your eSIMs.
- Hosting and Infrastructure: With cloud service providers who host our data and backend systems.
With Other Users
When you gift a package, the recipient may be notified that the gift is from you (e.g., using your profile name or email).
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with the law.
Business Transfers
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Third-Party Services
Our App relies on third-party services, most notably:
- Google (for Login): Your use of Google Login is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe (for Payments): All payment processing is handled by Stripe. Your payment information is provided directly to Stripe, and its use is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. We will also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you request account deletion, we will process your request in accordance with the section below.
8. Your Rights and Choices (Account Deletion)
You have certain rights regarding your personal information.
- Profile Updates: You can access and update your profile information directly within the App's account settings.
- Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. You can find the option to delete your account within the App's "Account" or "Profile" settings. You may also contact us directly at hello@telzen.net to request deletion.
- Consequences of Deletion: Please note that requesting deletion will permanently remove your account, profile, and all associated data, including any active eSIMs or remaining data packages. This action cannot be reversed. We may retain certain anonymous or aggregated data for analytical purposes, and we may retain some information as required by law.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or a higher age if required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
